I heard a breif comment on the news about some tapes released of Bush discussing his possible presidential run, while he was still governor.I've looked, But can't find much on the net about it, so could one of you fill me in? Are we talking about Bush's Mien Kampf or just more inane babble?

Weird that there is a fuss about this. The guy did cocaine during his college years.

So,

I bet you did cocaine too..... I could have had too, If I found some.

I wouldn't have minded if Bush had cocaine in the Oval Office. But what really troubles me is that he is really insane and totally unpredictable.

No because modern imperalist democracy is about vote winning not politics.

The reason it's significant is because he denied it before while his opponents admitted use of marijuana

Well there isn't really any kind of a "fuss". His base could care less if there was a tape released of him raping children while worshipping satan, so long as he pushes their agenda, they don't care.

The democrats haven't put up any kind of a "fuss". Most of their comments are "Yeah no shit, he panders for votes and basis his decisions on polls. Who didn't know this already."

The right is using it however to get on TV and Radio and talk about how mad they are about the release of this tape and how it was a betrayal.

Meanwhile nobody is paying attention to the GOPUSA/Talon news Reporter sitting in as a propoganda plant at the white house press room, or about the 3 paid reporters financed from Bush, the backlash from people not liking the Social Security Changes and one of the most vile and evil torture inducing Americans ever, a person that setup death squads is now a senior cabinet offical for the US, Openely! Negroponte!

The timely release of these tapes are what we call, "MEDIA DISTRACTION"

Here you go from Wikipedia

From 1981 to 1985 Negroponte was the U.S. ambassador to Honduras. During his tenure, he oversaw the growth of military aid to Honduras from $4 million to $77.4 million a year. At the time, Honduras was ruled by an elected but heavily militarily-influenced government. According to The New York Times, Negroponte was allegedly involved in "carrying out the covert strategy of the Reagan administration to crush the Sandinistas government in Nicaragua." Critics say that during his ambassadorship, human rights violations in Honduras became systematic.

Negroponte supervised the construction of the El Aguacate air base where Nicaraguan Contras were trained by the U.S., and which some critics say was used as a secret detention and torture center during the 1980s. In August 2001, excavations at the base discovered 185 corpses, including two Americans, who are thought to have been killed and buried at the site.

Records also show that a special intelligence unit (commonly referred to as a "death squad") of the Honduran armed forces, Battalion 3-16, trained by the CIA and the Argentine military, kidnapped, tortured and killed hundreds of people, including U.S. missionaries. Critics charge that Negroponte knew about these human rights violations and yet continued to collaborate with the Honduran military while lying to Congress.

On February 17, 2005, President George W. Bush named Negroponte as the first Director of National Intelligence, a position created due to recommendations made by the 9/11 Commission

Not that many Americans would really care.

Oh I just found out from the daily show, the guy releasing the tapes just happens to be selling his new book right now. Now isn't that just a coincidence and I am sure it isn't to up his book sells.

Funny thing about some of the Bush comments on it, he was much nicer as person then, before being elected president. He is an asshole through and through but in those conversations he was much nicer. Ultimate power too much for the psyche perhaps?

What perturbed my most was Bush's comment about how he would NOT pass or seek legislation that would deny rights to gays. Lesson of the day: mining homophobia wins elections!
