Alright, i consider myself to be a pretty intelligent, informed person on leftist topics. But one thing that has bothered me, and perhaps i did not research it enough, is to why Marx is often credited with creating Communist and Socialist theories while he and Engles wrote the Communist Manifesto. It seems as though Engles is treated as a Teller to Marx's Penn :D Had to throw that analogy in.

Engels remarked that "Marx was a genius; the rest of us were merely talented."

Still, I think that had Marx never lived, that it's quite like that Engels "and others" would have arrived at something very similar to what we call Marxism.
