hello new here, I'm a member of the Socialist party in the UK and work for the Metropolitan Police (civilian). I am a trade union rep within Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS) and elected to the Group executive. I am also the chair of the left wing faction within, Left Unity which has been in the majority for the last three years, after the right wing group sold us down the river over pay gradings.
Our elections are coming up and the right have re organised, bring it on i say our record speaks for itself "the members are the union" is my motto.
have to be on our toes as the way members are treated are horrendous.
pensions are a nightmare over here and we need to make a stand against the govt.

btw just want to add that im 38 years old and originally from South Wales so grew up suffering after maggie thatcher and her scum raped South wales in the 80's. And to top it all off the Labour party in this country has sold its soul and principals. Its a sad day
