The history book we use in school pisses me off and the reason is because everything that is written about communism or socialism is from a negative point of view, while it should be objective and let the reader decide what he thinks of it. It also contains propaganda; it says that 1 million Cubans imigrated to America and it was this that led to Americas "war" against Castro. I was under the impression that 120.00 people imgrated to America, and we all know that America started working agains Castro and Guevara from the first day the word revolution was mentioned. And this was after Castro's unsuccesful coup in the early fifties. Everything about the russian revolution is also from a negative point of view. What is it with peoples negative view on revolutionaries?

You live in a society dominated by the capitalist class. It's perfectly natural for Castro and other leftist revolutionaries to be portrayed in a negative way, because a Castro-like society wouldn't be in their interests. Simple as that.
The bourgeoisie does not have any interest what so ever in portraying Fidel, nor any other leftist as a "good guy".
Capitalist education is simply capitalist indoctrination. When you read textbooks in your class, you are hearing the views of the bourgeoisie. Even if the books are "written" by a socialist, their views are not politically correct (clashing against interests of the bourgeoisie), and will be cencored for being "biased" a (ie against the capitalist class's interests).
Don't expect to read any objective information at school, especially when it comes to politics, history, society and ideology. They will twist your mind and brainfuck you the way it suits them best. Thus, every independent, smart person will research things indepth, using a wide area of sources.

My history book and history teacher has been pretty good on not making our class bias.
