i don’t see what’s so funny .. the old testament said that you cant eat shellfish (hence Jews don’t eat shell fish) but in the new testament the old laws where rewritten so the whole not eating shrimp think doesn’t make sense :blink:

For Jews all seafood is a black food along with alcohol, still no shellfish. It makes sense it's unclean and spoils quickly without refrigration. All the Jewish food laws make perfect sense when you can't refrigerate!

Pandora has a good point. In the past, you couldn't refrigerate so seafood was seen as evil. Shame they didn't advance into the 21st, no, the 20th century!!

The same (sorta) goes with Pork. The reasons that jews dont eat it is because way back when, it was hard to cook the meat until it was well done and if it wasn't cooked completely then worms that lived inside the pig will live on and infect the eater. But in the advent of new modern technology....the conservatives stay in the past. Bah :(.

My christian friend just discovered that eating pork was forbiden in Christianity...he hasnt touched pork for a long while..LOL

And i thought it was an evil scheme constructed by one of my muslim friend...but its actually on the Bible! LOL
