yeh babyyyyyyyyyy i have read some excerpts of the black messiah and i think he rockssssss. He is a student of sartre and his main aim is to transfigurate that the anti-semite creates the image of the jew and he maintains that its the european conquistador who created the image of the african in the same vein. Both bastardise the respective ethnicities by creating this mist of greed , corruption, mindlessness around them
i don't know if that is totally write but thats what i got

Try this title for starters

Frantz Fanon, the apocalyptic prophet of 3rd world revolutionism.

my god. i remember coming on here on the old site and asking these questions, but hardly anyone had heard of him.

my knowledge is a bit rusty on him, as this was 3/4 years ago.

but, i think he is one of the greatest political theorists of the 20th century. its a pity he is not more fondly remembered as one of the fighters for african independence.

he was a true advocator of 3rd worldism, and i like his neutrality between "the cut-throat capitalism between capitalism and socialism".the fact that he brings psychology into his work gives it greater validity, in my opinion.

i always preferred black skins, white masks. although its less political, i found it an easier read.

thanks for reminding me, as i will attempt to re-read fanon again!

Kingbee...

Nice to know that there are people who think that fanon is one of the greatest revolutionaries on the 20th century. i THINK THE SAME TOO.

I remember reading that he was a psychoanalyst who wrote that the degraded people of third world nations should throw of the shackles of European imperialism(economic, cultural…)and undergo the process of “collective catharsis”. i'll get around to reading him.
