So I'm working on a novel on the life of Che Guevara, and I don't really feel like reading Jon Lee Anderson's book again to get all the small details, So I figured I'd post some questions on here and see if anyone knows the answers to them. Also, jus for the record, I liked Che before he was trendy, I've been interested in him for about five years because, yes, I'm Cuban.
1) The maid that Anderson wrote about him losing his virginity to, what was her name?
2) What was the name of teh bar he met Fidel in?
3) How many men set sail on the Granada?
4) What was the name of Che's girlfriend when he met Fidel?
5) What were Che's wives and children's names?
6) What medical school did Che go to?
7) Was Cienfuegos Camilo's real last name? If not, when did he get that nickname? Did they meet in Guatemala or Mexico?
That's about it, if I come up with anymore, I'll post them here. The idea behind this novel is to explore Che as a man, much liek Kazinstakis and Saramago have explored Christ as a man. Che has become so trendy that people just see that picture (the one in the background now as a matter of fact) and forget that there is a man behind it, and no, The Motorcycle Diaries did not help humanize him at all.
