Former Black Panther to tour Quebec

NEFAC(Northeastern Federation Of Anarchist Communists, www.nefac.net)
is organising a Quebec tour with former Black Panther and BLA political
prisoner Ashanti Alston

He gives an excellent first hand history of the growth and destruction of the Panther Party in New York and Nationaly. In a somewhat contemporary period he sheds light on questions of Organisation, leadership, race and gender politics and brings them up to date in a modern revolutionary context.

Ashanti Alston

Ashanti Alston is a former member of the Black Panther Party and former
political prisoner (Black Liberation Army) for over 14 years. Ashanti
Alston was recently the Northeast regional coordinator for Critical
Resistance, a national radical prison abolitionist organization and now is
a member of Estacion Libre, an organization that works to strenghthen ties
between people of colour in the US with folks in the liberated Zapatista
territories of Chiapas (Mexico) ; and of Anarchist People of Color (APOC).
He sits on the Board of the Institute of Anarchist Studies and has been an
invited guest teacher at the Institute of Social Ecology in Plainfield,
Vermont. Mr. Alston also authors the zine Anarchist Panther.
