The Senate Intelligence Committee has launched what its chairman called a "pre-emptive" examination of U.S. intelligence on Iran as part of an effort to avoid the problems that plagued America's prewar assessments on Iraq.

Condaleeza Rice, a.k.a. "The ugliest woman in the history of the galaxy", is saying that necessary steps will be taken if Iran doesn't dismantle their nuclear program and stop supporting terrorism. These allegations sound eerily familiar to those made against Iraq and Saddam Hussein at this time a few years back. No military action is on the "agenda" of course, but who trusts the Bush Whitehouse anyway? Just seems like a fucked up situation to me. It seems unrealistic that Bush would go into Iran, but at the same time, I guess I wouldn't really be all that surprised. If an invasion does happen though [assuming Iran doesn't comply], US forces will be stretched way too thin and I believe a draft would possibly be required. People aren't re-enlisting. Americans are often stupid, but they're not complete idiots. Nobody wants their head chopped off for a false war.
