I have heard that Nixon did some bad stuff when he was president, but I don't have a clue what it was. I have heard stuff about him in songs about deception and stuff but still havent heard the real story. If anyone has any knowledge about this, please share it.

Sorry for being so vague.

Peace & Respect.

Not a native of the USA eQuaLiTy? Lucky you... I'm not Nixon-history buff, but i can give you a vauge and quick idea of what he did....instead of pulling out of Vietnam he ordered the invasion of Cambodia (a neutral nation) and he also stole files from the Democratic party when they were in the Watergate hotel...he lied and said he "Wasn't a crook" and has since inspired the creation of overpriced Halloween masks to his liking :D Oh i beleive he was the ONLY US president to resign when he was impeached

I thought that Nixon was actually never impeached, it was just a certainty so he resigned before it could be done. Besides that, Socialist_Smurf basically summed up the bad I know about Nixon as well.

However, while invading Camboadia didn't he also start to withdraw some troops, not a complete pull out, but didn't he start to lessen their numbers?

Please post in the proper forum, someone with a better understanding of history will hopefully answer your question, in that forum.

You can read more about what Nixon did in Howard Zinn's A People's History of the United States. You can check the index under "Nixon." You can also watch Nixon directed by Oliver Stone and starring Anthony Hopkins

"What we are looking at on all our TV sets is a man who finally, after 24 years of frenzied effort, became the President of the United States with a personal salary of $200,000 a year and an unlimited expense account including a fleet of private helicopters, jetliners, armored cars, personal mansions and estates on both coasts and control over a budget beyond the wildest dream of King Midas . . . and all the dumb bastard can show us, after five years of total freedom to do anything he wants with all this power, is a shattered national economy, disastrous defeat in a war we could have ended four years ago on far better terms than he finally came around to, and a hand-picked personal staff put together through five years of screening, whose collective criminal record will blow the minds of high-school American History students for the next 100 years. "-Hunter S. Thompson

"Jesus! How much more of this cheap-jack bullshit can we be expected to take from that stupid little gunsel? Who gives a fuck if he's lonely and depressed down there in San Clemente? If there were any such thing as true justice in this world, his rancid carcass would be somewhere down around Easter Island right now, in the belly of a hammerhead shark. "-Hunter S. Thompson

Also, I remember hearing some of the Nixon whitehouse tapes that have been released. He says horrible things about communists and minorites and I even remember during one conversation, he suggest nuking Vietnam.

Well, Nixon and Henry Kissinger pretty much single handedly sabotaged the 68' peace talks in Paris which could have ended the Vietnam war. That was a fairly major one. As was mentioned, he ordered the attacks on Cambodia creating instability that allowed the Khmer Rouge to take power. He was also in office when his underling Kissinger committed many crimes, like ordering the assassination of Salvador Allende in Chile. Kissinger's crimes could have an entire post to themselves. There was also the Watergate scandal for which he was impeached.

Do a quick search on Google.
