I would like to correspond with former Internationalist coffee pickers who volunteered during Nicaragua's struggle with the US (drug) financed contra war. I was once an Internationalist coffee picker myself for the Dec-March 1985-86 Matagalpa area harvest, In El Roblar and San Francisco de Upa and subsequently the Dec 1986-87 coffee harvest in the Jinotega region-Abisinia-La Sorpresa state coffee farms (UPE's), here I was then upgraded to "Productive Defense Batallion " of the 25th Anniversary Brigade "Carlos Fonseca Amador" As I entered this time as a state worker through INSSBI (Nicaragua's Social Security Institute at that time)
I was that very shy teenager at that time, but very politically motivated as I still am now-
