We all know he is a fool. I do not envision his mandate extending further than next year. Let the world note I recorded this.

I doubt it.
The army's run by right-wingest politicians.
The age of generals is just right that they were:
a. Rich, fortunate sons
b. Ex-hippies
The fortunate sons who are in charge of the army feel they're "doing their duty", and support the president
The ex-hippies wouldn't join the army, and probably wouldn't have the $$$ to go to Westpointe anyway.

I believe Bush is so incompetent that there will, be a coup d'état against his regime soon
I believe that you must be stupid to make such a statement, and without backing it up at that. Come on - do you really think that the borgeoise care about the IQ of a man that doesn't even run the country - the rest of his administration do that.

Yeh thats never going to happen in the US the majority of the population don't care enough once someone has been elected. And a coup by the military that'd never happen even after the Iraq fiasco the majority of people are too loyal and sadly nationalist to try and make a change.

I have a $1.50 riding on Bush getting shot by someone.
A coup, however, for all the reasons mentioned, is very, very, unlikely.

The American Military has traditionally been extremely loyal to Conservative and reactionary leadership. The only even moderately serious threat of coup was against FDR - and even that was thwarted with relative ease.
The American government is extremely stable, and civil unrest, unfortunately, is at a rather low level. Military coups seem to typically spring out of situations where the reactionary forces within the military find the government incapable of / or unwilling to safeguard/ing their interests and power. As long as the upper levels of the armed forces are secure in their power, and social stability, a really dumb president won't make a difference.

a coup would never happen, no matter how stupid he is because 51% of the people are stupid enough to vote for him

Bourgeois democracy has worked well for the US power elite for over 200 years, they aren't going the abandon it just because of one stupid president. It would take a very extreme situation to provoke outright coup d'etat in the US. If the elite wanted to remove Bush (and there's no real indication they do) they would impeach him. The military-intelligence establishment can take down pretty much any politician it wants without a coup by using properly timed "leaks" revealing damaging information about that politician - either forcing them to shape up or leave office.

Or lacking that, just get someone to off him.

The man is popular amongst his people and those he manages to draw from the middle. American politics isn't about any real connection between the electee and the electors; it's about who has the best ad-campaign.
