Just a minute ago i read the declaration of independance, and was wondering if anyone has every tried to envoke the Right of the People to Alter or Abolish the Government and then instate a new one?

I'm not american so i dont know much about this, but if i am understanding this right the American people could force George Bush to resign as president and form a new government that actually cares about the people. If this is so, why has it not been tried, and, how could it be achieved? If anyone knows.

I would be much obliged if anyone could shed some light upon this.

Thankyou in advance.

That's what the southern states did in the War Between the States (the Civil War); the problem is, it can't be done by a portion of the country - it has to be done by the entire populace as a whole. The reason it hasn't been done now, is because a majority of the American people like George W, and think he's doing a good job.

Next question.
