I was fortunate enough to be granted what is known as a "semi-private audience", which takes place in a special room inside Vatican City. The Pope came out and spoke to a group of us. Then he prayed and blessed us. An interesting side note--before we entered the audience room, the Swiss Guard frisked us looking for...not weapons...but concealed containers of water. I later learned that any water present in the room when the Pope said a blessing instantly becomes "holy water," and the church did not want any of us taking holy water outside of Vatican City and trying to sell it.

This was said by Dan Brown. what do you think. Have you ever heard something like that before. The catholic church is so full of shit.

Dan Brown is a talented author. Everyone should read Angels & Demons. Especially if you are interested in science (and anti-matter,) however, as usual the book takes up religious matters. Including the ancient anti-religious group, the Illuminati.

Couldn't you just sell water and claim it was holy but that would be very evil considering that selling water is probally the most evil thing on earth, how can anyone justify selling something that falls out the sky.

To the point though has anyone read Mill's Onliberty the section on Catholisism is good as it points out lots of the crap within the church.
