hello i am jus starting to learn guitar
i can play Seven Nation ARmy and Some Powder Finger songs

can u reccomend some nice easy tabs for me
???

Plug in Baby by Muse is fairly simple but alwys seems to impress people. As is Newborn. Stones riffs are generally quite straight forward (the ones that aren't in open G anyway.) Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd is quite nice, maybe You Really Got Me B the Kinks (F5 G5 G5 F5 G5) and Sunshine of Your Love by Cream. Just remember not to get bogged down with technique and exercises, the way I learnt was by learning songs and working out the techniques required when I needed them...

Anything by Nirvana is cake. The first song I ever learned was "Smells Like Teen Spirit." "Ironman" (if you leave out the solo) and "Smoke on the Water" are also pretty safe bets.

try most things by greenday. longviews only about 3 chords.
my favorite is babs ulva who? on there insomniac cd. thats only 3 chords too but it'll teach you pauses and rhythm. i would challenge urself tho, just pick out songs u like and try to play them.

I've been playing a couple years and I'm rubbish at learning stuff but yea, most of Nirvana's stuff is easy, The Kinks are simple, Green Day are easy (Redundant is one of the easiest songs I've ever played). Personally however I like making up my own music nowadays when I cover songs, such as my Thrash Metal Blue Monday, basically you can get any progressional sound you really want from the chords E, Em, A, Am, D, D7 and G.

I just got home from band practice today. Nailed Rainbow's Kill the King (which I suspect noone here has ever heard about :D ) today. Tomorrow, were gonna start on White Lion's Lady of the Valley. I know, not commie, or political music, in fact, it's class 1 80's cheese, but I still love it.

Sorry, just so pleased with the achievement earlier today, I feel a need to brag about it. Take it as an encouragement. If you work hard enough, those things will one day be cookie cutter stuff to play. ;)

For myself, I learned to play by copying early Black Sabbath songs. May not be your thing, but it worked as an excellent springboard for me.

The first song I learned was "Breaking the Law" by Judist Preist. You should check that out, its pretty easy and it sounds fuckin awesome. Goo luck with the guitar, you can have tons of fun with it
