Economistic socialists refuse to see petty bourgeois nationalism as a revolutionary force. This article is about Connolly but the petty mind 'Marxists' of class purity are politically backward. They throw the same charges at Che.

i agree that the petty bourgeois can be revolutionary, in the sense that they can overthrow an existing colonial regime.

but i don't believe they can successfully lead a proletarian revolution, simply because of their class interests. hence, i dont believe the cuban revolution was communist.

just look at the african petty bourgeois nationalists who called themselves marxists. mugabe ZANU party can be classified as one. these moronic imbeciles can't lead the workers. they get get rid of colonialists, but thats just about all they and their nationalism is good for.
