In Dubya's new plan today there was a segment which concentrated on a plan called "Tips". This plan would basically give utility workers, and other workers who enter civilian homes, the right to search and observe the surroundings and report back to the U.S. Department of Defense. This is already highly debated and has come under extreme fire. The plan also talks about a central database which would keep all reports and the life on file for future refrence. Neighbors, Family members, and the life are also encouraged to "spy" on their friends and family to protect america from "terrorists"..

Another un-highlited aspect of Bush's plan that has predictably falllen out of the spot light is new authority to the president which allows his to "vote" on money matters as the senate does and to allocate money without senate, or house permission. This vote would occur between only himself.. lol.. He would no longer need to ask permission to the other departments or issue a formal request, he could just authorize it right then. This obviously throw off the checks and balances..

With these two issues, which are rather small issues, we are watching the constitution diminish and our rights become furthur exagerated. I beg all U.S. citizens and others who live within the U.S. to fight this new plan and to call for massive protests all across the country.

Woah. I didn't hear about that one. Gotta link to a story about it? That's a HUGE issue.

Actually, i saw it on TBL (talk back live) on CNN.. perhaps you can find it on their website.. but theres alot more new information coming out as we speak. I believe we should know all the details by late this week.. But, this IS a huge issue.. at least for some people. The UCLA is taking a huge stance against this as are many other organizations around the country..

Interesting that you say that Angie. The first reporter to bring this story to CNN, was a german reporter who compared the operation to the Stasi..

Nice to see it spoken from the lips of those who know. The Germans should be listened to closely over the next few weeks/months. :)
