To russians and all the people who know about this:
I read in the newspaper about an antisemitic letter signed by russians intellectuals and MP's spread in russia saying the jews control russia and are war-mongers.
The most disturbing thing about it was that also MP's from the Communist Party signed this letter. Very disapointing, since the russian Bolsevik Party was the one to put antisemitism out of law.
Can someone tell me more about this?

I believe that the whole anti-semitism situation going on in Russia is a hoax constructed by capitalist media to cover over the fact that the people want to go back to the old system. Seriously. I read an article which claimed that hundreds of thousands of protestants had gone against Putin because of the reforms which removes previous government subsidies, most of these protestants communists. The next day though, in the same paper there was a big article saying that nazism is on the rise in Russia. It semt like an obious cover-up if you ask me.
Any thoughts on this?

In the Soviet Union, special agents were sent out in order to catch anti-semites.
Creating racial hatred during WW2 could be, again from what I've read, punished by death.
From what I've read, in places in the Soviet Union, Jews and other ethnic groups had a certain autonomy.
Stalin even supported the establishment of Israel!
I think of your comment as ignorant and generalizing. So now every communist is an anti-semite?
Where do you get this ignorant crap from?

NWOG,
Stalin had an antisemitic era - he accused many jewish doctors and intellectuals for being traitors and sentenced them to death.
He was generally killing the intellectuals of the national minorities, and putting russians in rule instead of them. He did it because self-determination is part of democracy - and he didn't like that one.
But when he started doing it to the jews - there was a voice of protest in the world, because there are many jews outside the Soviet Union.
And I don't see why you think that if Stalin was something than "every communist" is too. And supporting Israel - well, being pro-Zionist doesn't make you a big humanitarian. He just hated the british.

FYI, friends, almost a quotation from our massmedia.
A week ago a group of the State Duma deputies made an appeal to the General Prosecutor of RF,Vladimir Ustinov. They requested of GP to revise provocative activities of jewish religious and national organizations, which may result in display of anti-Semitism in the country. The document was signed by 19 deputies. They demanded to suppress unpunished sperading of Jewish national and religious extremism and to call to account all who provided those organizations with assets and financed their activities. The request was withdrawn On the 25th of January.
