I was watching C-SPAN 2 today and a man was giving a speech at a book
signing about a book he had written about what he called "economic
hitmen". In fact he claims he was one himself. It was very interesting
and Im ordering the book actually, from ebay. I emailed the below to my friend and thought I would paste it here, to just listen to any opinion anyone may have. This is what he said:
After World War 2 the threat of Communism worried Americans. The head men in charge of America needed to figure out a
way to succeed economically, and even surpass the Communists. Unlike
previous empires, fighting wars in order to gain vistory doesnt work
in our modern society.
This is where economic hitmen come into play. They devised a plan.
They wanted to use the resources of the world to their advantage, this
meant oil, cheap labor, etc. At first, the author noted, the cause was
noble, and it just involved the government.
They sent the first so-called economic hit man into a country they did
not have control over. The hit man created a revolution that overthrew
the government eventually. They had given him a few million dollars to
do so. Anyways, the overthrew their enemy and got someone they wanted
in power. The hit man at the time was working directly for the
government.
They very quickly realized that this could be very bad if someone
found out about this, and quickly hired large corporations and
companies to do this for them. This is where it became corrupt
quickly, large business and the government working together to
manipulate literally the world.
They devised a three step plan to get rid of any needed government.
They would first choose a country they needed/wanted something from.
The part one was initiated. Part one was corrupting the leaders of the
countries by offering them millions of dollars. If the corruption of
the leader was successful they would lend billions of dollars to the
country in order to make the country better for the poor. America
chooses how to spend the money. They set up factories, and oil
creating companies like Haliburton within the companies. Most of the
money is given to these american businesses. They would also build
things mainly the rich would benefit from like ports/harbors etc.
America and the oil companies would recieve about 85% of the oil while
only a small percentage goes to the country. The country cannot
possibly pay back America so americans make a deal. They say, if you
give us oil at a certain price, or let us build these factories, or
vote a certain way within the UN we will ignore your debt.
The governments in charge KNOW their countries will go bankrupt, but
they get huge amounts of money personally so they dont care.
Some do care, which is part 2 is initiated. Special ops, or commandos
or something simmilar go into the country and try to create a
revolution, or sabotage the government or even assassinate the leader.
then they get in power who they want and everything is fine.
Part three is a last resort if the steps one and two backfire. And
that is to go to war, which is what we did with Iraq. Someone asked
him why didnt saddam tke the money and he said he had no clue. Saddam
was sadistic violent, did not care about his own people, but he didnt
take american money either, maybe hes just looney, which really isnt
too far of a stretch to imagine when you know he tested chemical
weapons on his own people. He has killed over 2.3 million people.
If america gave half of the money we initially spen on the Iraq War
($87billion) to the world without demanding anything, and made sure it
went to good cause, we could proved the whole world with food, water,
a basic education and basic healthcare. Th current 12 million children
dying per year would be dropped to next to nothing.
America is hated, and if you believe anything the man said, you can
see why. Bin Laden is considered a hero a david fighting against a
goliath to most of the world. Interesting thought: 3,000 Americans
died on 9-11, on the same day, 50,000 humans died because of
starvation, lack of proper medication and other basic needs.
