Say you have 4 very intelligent left wing best friends who support socialism, the teachings of lenin, ernesto ect. , you also want to raise support for your cause and bring others to get curious about socialism and bring them onto your side. you want to get them interested in govornment change or reform and the teachings of several great socialist and communist leaders. how would you go about doing this.....

In town squares? Comrade, that sounds lovely, but what year are you living in?

It depends what you're doing. If you and yr friends are students, start a social justice group - invite in speakers, work on relevent campaigns, produce obscene ammounts of propaganda (Stealing photocopies is easy!), etc. When I was in high school, this was particularly affective and YAC provided a means of doing relevent work, and of expanding the base of support for the left throughout the school.

The problem is that many people see communism and socialism as bad due to the propaganda and bad press its got mainly from the US. It may be a step forward telling people of its true values but making them listen is another thing all together.

The best way to get other people to join is to directly confront them about Communism. When you confront them, tell them the true values of Communism and Socialism. Tell them how it would work, and why previous 'Communists' such as Stalin and the Kim Jong 'dynasty'... Because they aren't Communists, they're Stalinists!

Just keep on telling them how great communism is, et cetera, and it will work!

That's pretty much what I would suggest also. In my case, I bring up Cuba as an example in many different instances while talking to people at work or friends or any others. If anyone happens to look my way when I'm in the bus, they'll see me reading a book on Che or the revolution or communism and I can only hope that it might spark an interest in others.....Good luck! ;)
