I'd have to say quite a lot really ranging from its poor quality foregien policy to its resolute policy on drumming patriotism into its young and not teaching them of the culture of other countries. Oh and the CAPITALIST bit.

i don't thimk the US schools pound patriotism into the youth. I've gone to schools in NYC where the american flag wasn't allowed inside the school because it might "offend" the new immigrants. Personally i think it's B S. Plus they woldn't recite the national anthem because it might offend people. That is FAR from patriotic

After Sept 11, there were a number of teachers who refused to put the flag in their classrooms and were subsequently fired.

Since the 50s, when anti-communist brainwashing really took over the education system ("better dead than red" and all that), kids have been screwed by the government.
