THX 1138

Has anyone seen this film, I've seen the previews, and I know its old, perhaps somewhere around the same time a clock work orange was made, don't really know, but was wondering who might have seen it and what they thought about it???

it was one of george lucas' first film an extended version of a student film he made, they recently released a special edition with new effects, i heard its pretty good.

I have personally never seen it, though I thought it sounded quite interesting. Dystopias are always a turn-on for me though, especially ones as seemingly stylized as THX 1138 is. I would be very wary of any “special edition” George Lucas releases though, regardless of what film it is. After he utterly butchered the only two good Star Wars films (A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back) twice in a period of several years, I have a hard time trusting him. With that said, I’d suggest finding an old VHS copy and watching it before grabbing the newer DVD release. You’ll probably appreciate it much more.
