I said national hero, they are both heros of their own countries and were both Marxist Republicans fighting against British Imperialism. Just as Castro is a hero in his struggle for national liberation against American Imperialism.

I only regret that more people didn't follow McLean to revolution. There would be no chance for the survival of the English state if my countrymen took their actions slightly further to following the Irish in rebellion. Half the ships in the world were built on the Clyde, the loss of the shipyards there would have resulted in the freedom from the British Empire for millions of people subjected to its undefendable brutality.

And yes BOZG's Connolly was born in Scotland to Irish parents then moved to Ireland later on.
