I live in the Republic of Moldova. The post-Soviet state and the only European country led by a Communist Party (so-called communist I would say). And we have parliamental elections on March. And recently I saw the posters on the pillars: the ultra-right party (HDNP) leader Yurie Roshka embracing this @#$%ng Ucrainean-American bastard Yushenko!!!!
Will the Ucrainean "revolution" come to us? Meetings paid by Americans and Romanians?
I'm so angry when I start thinking about it.........

Well as far as I'm aware Moldova is the poorest country in Europe, that may be a bad thing, but at least that means that the US and the EU or Russia aren't likely to be interested in control.
As far as your 'communist' president goes, as he was head of the Supreme Soviet in the 80's, the odds are that he's about as communist as Tony Blair.....

He's still a capitalist though, therfore he is a right-winger. To me acceptance of leftish people is just the acceptance of reformism, and therefore the rejection of revolution. The line between the right and left should be clear - either you accept capitalism(the right) or not (the left) - thats how I'd have it.

Yo, at least he's pro-West, imgagine having that other corrupt guy who is best friends with Putin. You guys can't honestly beleive that Yanukovich would have done good for Ukraine, he a corrupt, undemocratic bastard, AND a sore looser, he tried to Poison Yushchenko.

And H&S, i think your view that if you accept capitalism your right-wing and if you dont your leftwing, is a very naïve view. Things arent that simple, things arent Black and White!!!! No offence but your comment was just as stupid as what Bush said: "your either with us, or your with the terrorist": things arent that simple man!

I agree with everything said there. I mean sure Yushenko's a capitalist, but just about everyone right of us is. I mean he's hardly a neo-conservative.

Taiqa, what are the actions of the CP of Moldova when they are ruling? What are they like? Is it a left-reform party today?

I don't think that, but I do wish that it could be that simple - opposing reforms is just stupid, yet reformism is not the way forward, if you get what I mean.
