What a butthole! Jay-Z is plainly idiotic. I don't even think that he knows who is the man on his shirt. Funny post Novel Gentry!

I like his music but he is patently a complete idiot. He claims to be 'like Che Guevara but with bling on' to quote his lyrics.

It almost comical but too idiotic to be actually funny. It so ironic to see Che's face on a shirt with a gold chain hanging in front of him.

how do u guys know that he doesn’t know who Che is ... i think you would be surprised how many cappies respect Che .. the majority of the people in my block respect him a shitload more then allot of leftist I know .. they respect him not for his ideological stance but what he did for the poor , people who lived in ghetto conditions and especially people of color.

^^^ that my be right. But I a lot of black men and women who wear Bob Marley or Che for reasons like "pot is cool" and "he is some revolution for my people". But most people I know not just black but white and latino and asian don't know much about many of the Leftist.

I don't see what the big deal is. Maybe he is interested in learning about Che. Making money off of any figure is bad, but there's nothing really wrong with showing support for a figure.

If you support a figure, fine. But if it has significant means, then you should at least respect it.
Paul McCartney's heavily against animal testing, and doesn't have leather in any of his limos. There is a shitload of other things he does for Animal rights, which prove his point of caring for them.
If McCartney were to just talk about animal rights and wear a leather suit doing so, it'd seem hypocritcal and moronic.
Jay-Z may know scores of information about Che. He may not as well. He compares himself to a man that was against everything he is - Jigga claims to be so 'street', but he himself said he dumbed down his lyrics to make more money. He's a hustler, not a representative of the ghetto.
Oh, and he's the president of Def Jam. Guess the once-pusher of cocaine is now a big-time corporate executive.
The problem is that Jay-Z is a hypocrite, a man who says he's something when he really is not. Jay-Z will never be Che, despite how much shit he speaks.

Jigga is the model of capitalism. No way he should wear a shirt of Che.

I just heard that song that you all were talking about and I was just stunned...
This guy ACTUALLY said "Im like Che Guevara wit the Bling on"...Thats amazing...
If he knew two shits about Che Guevara he would NEVER dare to compare himself to him...The two are complete Opposites...
And I dont think Jay-Z is a Hypocrite...Hes just a fake muthafucka that does anything to make money..."The Ultimate Capitalist"

I'll believe Jay-Z in that shirt next time I see him walking around the ghetto passing out his bling to the homeless.

He might give them Food but not "Bling"
But even if he did...I still dont think that would make up for comparing himself to Guevara
I would believe Jay-Z if he stopped buying jewery, gave up his girl to me, and sold off the New Jersey Nets to kids...
I think that would do it
bunk

Jay Z has been bad ever since reasonable doubt.
Quixotic
19th January 2005, 02:26
This is so idiotic, it's a damn shame how much of a pop-culture icon Che has become, I don't even want to go into it because it makes me so damn angry.

When I saw that foto, I just busted out laughing myself silly!!
And when I read the rest of the posts that you guys wrote, they were hilarious too! I think the same way about this stunt by Jay-Z, it is just ridiculous but most of all it is ridiculously funny to me. He is the most unique cappie I have ever seen!!
