I've heard about it, but I don't know much about it. Can any of you comrades explain it to me.

well basically france went to war with prussia.Prussians kicked their arses.People in Paris revolted took power.held out for 100 days until a french army army came from Marsailles and defeated them.

To me the paris commune looks like an almost perfect socialist utopia. If only they could have lasted. One of these types of communes should be started again.

Read Marx's Civil War in France, that's got lotsa good info. And yes, it was almost perfect.
