Hullo gents, Once again I beg of you to send me your links and such. I seek some numbers as to the number of global terrorism incidents before and after 2000 or any interval. I need to show that global terrorism is indeed a worsening situation and that recent military responses have done naught but to exacerbate the problem of global terrorism.

It really depends on how you define "global terrorism" and even then you encounter much trouble when you seek specific numbers on such a vague term.

I would count beating, torturing citizens to make them scared of you and your authority - terrorism, but most people would disagree that the US is terrorist.

If you want stats of bombings and attacks against western targets. Yes, there is a massive increase of that, but that's because of the war in Iraq.

Maybe stats on recruitment numbers for fundamentalist islamic groups? Obviously they do not give out such stats.

Yes, yes we all know. I'm a whole-hearted democratic socialist and I couldn't agree more. My problem IS however that my senior project is due tommorow and I could really use some statistics for number of global terror attacks as seen by the western world. I'm interested in facts, not our convictions, I feel the same way. You can't convince anyone who isn't already convinced without factual evidence, and sometimes that doesn't work either. So please I entreat you, if you could help me find some stats, I'd be Much Appreciative.

I would if i could, but everything is so messed up that it's hard to determine what is a fact, and what isn't

I know Al Qaeda is linked to many bombings of embassies and whatnot. That terrorist organization seems to be the most pertinent at the time. Not many, to my knowledge, (nothing like September 11th) were killed. You could try C-Span? I'm not very good at looking stuff up on the net (I'm not really supposed to use the internet for my papers), so I'm sorry I couldn't be a more direct help.
