I know this may sound a bit amateurish on my part, but being relatively new to the left movement, I tend to seek truths, wanting to expand my horizons on life and most of all, to expand on knowledge of my new found love for this way of life, this fascinating thing most people call a dark and evil thing:

socialism and its hopeful offsprings.....

I was reading a story on Hu Jintao, China's new leader following Jiang Zemin step down,

here is the URL incidently: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/4165209.stm ,

and I was wondering what most of you thought of this yet to be undistinguished leader.....

Would and most importantly -Could-, this leader, and his apparent ideals and positions, bring a new found hope for Cuba.... ?

Could this man and his government attempt to bring stronger ties with Fidel Castro and the people of Cuba, in such ways the USSR did until 1991 when the dark day fell onto us all....?????

Yet to be distinguished.......

I hope all of you won't be offended..!

Absolutly NOT. He is a reactionary imperialist, trying to turn the direction of China from exploited to an exploiter. I cannot stress enough how deeply reactionary he is from what I saw while I was in China.

I understand why traditional communists of the world do not like China's Communists, I
am a traditional communist that does support a socialist democracy, I can also understand why some communists do not believe in letting other parties run for office and maintain a single party system ,I do not agree with that concept but understand why they do. What I have to ask the critics of the communists in china is, do you really think reforms would solve the problems of a goverment that has to govern 1.3 billion people?
That many people in a country that is trying to modernize and industrialize would be a problem for any goverment, democratic or not. I try not to be to critical of a goverment that has more people and more social problems than any other goverment in the world today, however, I think the reason many don't respond to this post is for the resons I have mentioned.I do think China will become the next worlds superpower with a military that will equal or surpass the power of americas military within the next 10/15 years. I do think China will find a friend in Cuba and will try to help the Cuban goverment economically as China's power grows.
