I've just recently become interested in Che Guevara and what he's all about. I've read a bit on the internet, and recently picked up the book Che Guevara by Andrew Sinclair from the library.
I was wondering if this is a good start, or if anyone could recommend any books about Che or his politics in general.
Thanks for your help.

Hello comrade.
I haven't read the book you mentioned. The biography of Che by Jon Lee Anderson is considered to be one of the best, if not THE best book about him. You could also read the Motorcycle Diaries by Che himself. This will give you a bit of an insight into the person and it's politics aren't too "bulky".
If you want to get into Che's politics you need to read all the socialist classics, as Che was a socialist.

This will introduce you to the major socialist texts and also where you can read them online.
Hope that helps

Motorcycle diaries to see kind of how he got his views and Anderson's book gives the best information about his life.It is a long read but it was the first book i got on him and the best I've read so far.

Once you get through The Motorcycle Diaries and Jon Lee Anderson biography of Che, check out Che's other writings including Guerilla Warfare.

It's a good, accurate summation of the book. I think Del Toro did a good job as Che Guevara, and the ending is just the greatest.
Though they skipped a few parts that I would've thought may have been interesting (ie. the panther story where Che's sleeping and he sees a panther in the middle of the night), it's still a really good movie.
I think the movie on Che's life is scheduled to come out this year...or spring of 2006. It'll be more in-depth on his political doings.

That panther scene was one that I was truly anticipating in the movie. It was not in the movie but it was a great film nonetheless.
