Do you think that Bush sincere in his promises to conservative Cuban-Americans? There seems to be the sizeable possibility that Bush may have just lied to appeal to that demographic. Either way has its benefits.

Yeah, bush is going to "free" Cuba, and then provide illiteracy and vaccination programs for Cuban children, just like he said he would last year. What an idiot. I like Castro's response to these claims, as well as bush's accusations that Cuba is involved in "human traficking and sex tourism."

I can't see that idiot invading Cuba as long as Castro is around the world just wouldn't allow it after Iraq. Even though he may try to assasinate Castro like america has tried many times before.
Cuba has a much better human rights record than most "third" world nations Bushes "free" Cuba rubish can't be taken seriously by anyone...can it?

Yeah im English
Thats a good site if it can only get enough backers.
Blair has responded to the letters sent to him and he's the Mp of Sedgefield which is close to me, so thats a good sign.
I can't see him backing Bush again especially on Cuba which the UK has nothing against and which we trade with. Its very different to the Iraq situation.
Bush just wants to consolidate his power throughout the world by putting regimes into power that will relay upon the US dollar being handed to them.

Ive printed off a letter to send, though it kind off sucks cos it says 'Page 1 of 1' at the top and the url of the website at the bottom which kind of detracts from it I think... unless it doesnt?
Stupid Cappie Bears, do you know what Blair said about a possible war on Cuba? Did he say if he'd support it or not?

The only reason why the Cuban people live in relative poverty (economically) is because of the denial of access to the American market. EVERYBODY I kno wants a Cuban cigar, and would pay a decent price for one. My girlfriend brought one and I was more excited then ever (partly because it had a pic of CHE on it). The best thing that America could do for the "oppressed" Cuban people is to end the embargo(Being a broke college student, I would love to pay less for decent rum as well).
On another political philosophical note: The worst thing to do if you desire to remove a dictator from power (as a foreign country), is to give that dictator a clear 'enemy' to fight against. A reason why people still back Fidel (and people who still back Saddam) is that they have cited the U.S. as a common enemy to fight against and spite. America has used communism and now terrorism to unite its population behind conservative oligarchs for years, the same thing occurs in these countries who use the specter of U.S. dominance to unite its people. By showing Cuba solidarity would be a better road to travel than this unjust embargo.
