Today in Israel, in light of the seperation program, many right-wingers soldiers say they will refuse to evict settlements and many right-wing political and spiritual leaders call soldiers to do so.
What do you think about that? What do you think the israeli left (and especially the left-wing refuseniks) do with this fact?

It certainly is interesting - these soldiers are perfectly happy to illegally demolish Palestinian houses, sometimes with their occupants still inside, but not to move Isrealis out of their houses. However, they may be right-wingers but that does not mean that they are wrong. You can not evict Jewish people living in Palestine purely because they are not Palestinian. The day that people see this as a class issue and not one of race can't come soon enough in my opinion...

Israle exists now. I don't want to see it puched into the see. However these people are a pretty extreme example. Even the U$ acknowleges this land as Palistines. What do people think of the new palistinian leader?

That may be so, but while the occupation persists and the settlers continue to live on land gained by imperialist war then we can't have any hope for "class unity". The settlers knew what the land was when they moved there (in fact, many of them moved exactly for that reason) so I have little sympathy for them.

It’s an interesting situation indeed, soldiers fighting against settlers and soldiers disobeying orders. The left doesn’t have much to do with this, though. They should focus on their own plans and goals, and not be distracted by other plans, like the disengagement plan. Even though the dismantling of settlements is a step in the right direction, it’s highly unlikely that the plan will lead to a Palestinian state and a lasting peace.
However, they may be right-wingers but that does not mean that they are wrong. You can not evict Jewish people living in Palestine purely because they are not Palestinian.
Are you saying the settlements shouldn’t be removed? You could argue that both Arabs and Jews should be able to live there, but that’s just not possible at this moment. As it is, the settlements are illegal, built on stolen land. They make life impossible for the Palestinians and should be removed as soon as possible. Peace will never be achieved as long as the settlements exist.

:) Just curious, when Israel was "created" in I think 1948, why was there not a Palestinian State also declared at the same time?

This is disgusting. The Israeli's are being disgusting and anyone who opposes them is labelled by them as anti-semetic. I have nothing againt jews, or arabs for that matter, but killing little children for target is just disgusting. In my opinion, Palestine needs the USA much more than Iraq does. BUT, we all know the USA has many ties with Israel which branches even more corruption.

Chomsky talks about this a lot. A lot of horrendous crimes go un-punished in the world because the of the U.S. Anytime we have strings ont he government we'll allow them to commit those crimes. It happened earlier with Iraq, in Indonesia, and all over South America. In Che's "Motorcycle Diaries", you see the same explotation from the United Fruit Co. and other American business endeavors.

You're not evicting them because they are jews, but because they are Israeli citizens. If they want to go on living there, they can get palestinian citizenship pretty easily. But they don't want to live with the palestinians - they want to live there instead of the palestinians. if the IDF retreats from the West Bank and Gaza and leaves the settlers behind than they will be a threat to the palstinians and the palestinians will be a threat to them. Therefore the settlements must be evicted.

There was a war - both Zionists and Palestinian nationalists wanted the whole land. The Zionists won and 700,000 palestinians were expelled from their land - this is what they call "el-Nakba" - the catastrophy.
