And Pennywise too.

I think we should try and update and change the playlist every so often rather than have the same songs over and over. How many songs can you have on the playlist at once or is it even limited?
Celtopunk,
What's the story with the Exploited? I remember someone saying they were nazis before but I always wondered about it.

I don't have any more Mp3 storage left at 365.com, I'm even using about 40% more storage than I actually have, because I 've set the account when they provided much more space. I'm currently working on reducing the kpps rate for the MP3s, so I can store more songs.
About Exploited: They used to tour with Screwdriver, but before they turned into bones. that's how the Exploited Nazi myth developed I guess.

Quote from Jello Biafra:
I've never met Watty in my life. I've never said anything to him, rarely even said anything about him, but in order make his band big and make money, he started ragging on Dead Kennedys in about 1981. And later he some of his gooney road crew down along with some British Movement members - which is the British equivalent of the Ku Klux Klan - to try and bash heads at one of our shows in Leicester, England in 1982. MDC was opening and they pushed Dave the singer off the stage and the skinheads split his head open with their boots and sent Dave to the hospital. They never quite got me but that gives you the kind of picture of the kind of person Watty is. He didn't go there himself to beat people up; he sent other people. And yet, we never did anything to him. I even bought his records at one point.

What a track list. I do agree exploited should be dropped. I live in a town surrounded by right wing punks. Racist, Homophobic arseholes and exploited are at the fore front.

Would it be appropriate to have an ongoing thread where people could post suggestions to add and take off, so the list would be constantly updated? Or can we just do that here?
If so, I'd like to suggest Worker's Song by Dropkick Murphys

More manics, but not the song already up, its a good song, but it seams like it could be replaced by a far better one. I suggest something from the Holy Bible, specifically "Archievs of pain" of, "Ifwhiteamericatoldthetruthforjustonedayitsworldwou ldfallapart".
Other requests
The Levellers - Sell Out
The Levellers - Another mans cause
The Cranberries - Zombie
The Antiheroes - Fuck hollywood
Placebo - Slave to the wage
(not as political as it sounds, but its a good song)
By the way the Levellers are one of the best leftwing bands going at the moment.

Crass leftist critiques of the Marxist leninest left is perfect for the Revolutionary left radio and sure as hell beat those fashion punk fascists of The exploited. Clash sold the fuck out! Do you support bands that Have pseudo leftist leanings while giveing fellatio to the corporate machine, Faceless?
yeah Bad brains should definitely be include especially f.V.K. (Any song that begins with 'the bourgeoisie better watch out for me' should be included)

Any ways you should pick a more militant MC5 like motor city is burning.

:D
1) they oppose solidarity:
Thousands of white men standing in a park,
Objecting to racism's like a candle in the dark.
2) They havent a clue about marxism, and if this is a "leftist critiques of the Marxist leninest left", "perfect for the Revolutionary left radio" then Radio Rebelde must be rather intellectually shallow:
Bigotry and blindness, a marxist con,
Another clever trick to keep us all in line.
aye, I always wondered why Marx wrote his Capital, a clever con. indeed. Funny though, I thought there were a fair few marxists at RL and anarchists too who would blush at the childish nature of their politics.
3) They clearly state that violence of all kind is wrong. They clearly state that whites have no place to comment on the politics of blacks. The Notting Hill and Los Angeles riots must have seemed somewhat awkward.
Three words:
PREACHY. ARROGANT. BOLLOCKS.
Do you support bands that Have pseudo leftist leanings while giveing fellatio to the corporate machine, Faceless? Not at all, I wouldnt hesitate to condemn sell-outs. But unless Che-lives stands for
1) No Solidarity to the oppressed
2) Sectarianism
3) The unconsidered dismissal of Marxism
then Crass should be recognised for the filthy hippies they are.

"Killing for Jesus" by the Circle Jerks is a great song.
The problem with CRASS is that they are unlistenable, right up there with all that cheesy death/black/fill in the blank metal. Yeah their lyrics can be good but the Clash did more to advance punk in particular and music in general than CRASS could ever hope to do.

"Well they tell me of a pie up in the sky
Waiting for me when I die
But between the day you're born and when you die
They never seem to even hear your cry
So as sure as the sun will shine
I'm gonna get my share, what's mine
And then the harder they come
The harder they fall one and all
Well, the oppressors are trying to keep me down
Trying to drive me underground
And they think that they have got the battle won
I say forgive them, Lord, they know not what they've done
'Cause as sure as the sun will shine
I'm gonna get my share now, what's mine
And then the harder they come
The harder they fall one and all
And I'll keep on fighting for the things I want
Though I know that when you're dead you can't
But I'd rather be a free man in my grave
Then living as a puppet or a slave
So as sure as the sun will shine
I'm gonna get my share now, what's mine
And then the harder they come
The harder they fall one and all"

Although Frank zappa considered himself a conservative he fought hard for important things and was our biggest champion in the fight agaisnt censorship of music. Download the 60 minutes interviews with him, its clear taht he is a good guy if you listen too him. it was not communism in theory he hated, it was "communism" as practiced by the soviet union and china, neither of which are truely communist.

It's a group that plays "Low Bap" music. It's something like hip-hop but it based in lyrics more than hip-hop. It is slower too.
But most lyrics are in Greek
However there are songs like "Pame Guantanamo" which means "Let's go to Guantanamo" that is in Greek, English and Spanish I think...

Where's Rage Against The Machine. That's music! Thats the band who turned me into a communist, so i think they earn a place on the list.
Was there Dead Kennedys on the list? I hope so.

I dpn't play RATM for legal reasons, they are on a major label after all. On RR I play almost only band which are on Indie labels.

More suggestions (hoping none of these are major labels):
NOFX - just about anything from Wolves in Wolves' Clothing
...especially The Marxist Brothers and Anarchy Camp, not really sure if they're meant to be sarcastic but they're amazingly funny
Hudson Falcons - anything from La Famiglia
Alistair Hulett - Internationale
Los Fastidios - S-H-A-R-P
Robbie Fulks - God Isn't Real (not necessarily leftist but anti-religion)
Anti-Flag - anything from Terror State, New Kind of Army or Die for the Government
ZSK - Alles Steht Still, Kusst die Faschisten, and We Will Stop You
Randy - Proletarian Hop
Ska Trek - I Want Justice
By the way, I can't find Blisterhead - Radio Riot anywhere. Not even a site where you can buy it, or the album. weird.

I'm pretty sure Los Fastidios are a big name. And I know that Anti-Flag and NOFX have the super-devil-lawyer-squad.

'Protest the Hero' does a good song; "Red Stars over the Battle of the cowshed"
Probot's "Red War" is great too.
Not sure if these are major labels though.

Well thats what I guess, I mean, they made it out onto the national scene, as well as the bought-out radio stations. Conglomerates like the RIAA pay huge sums of money to radio stations (mostly owned by Rupert Murdoch) to play signed-only bands.
Its sort of like paying protection these days... <_<

Here are some songs that seem to fit in with Radio Rebelde
I dont know what the rules are for more popular songs but maybe some Clash, "money" by Pink Floyd or "War Pigs" may fit. Why not some rage too.
Minor Threat "good guys (dont wear white)"
Ted Leo & the Pharmacists "Loyal to my Sorrowful Country"
Morning Glory "gang control" (you already have a lot of Leftover Crack but Leftover Crack's version of this song is better)
Woddy Guthrie's extended version of "this land it your land" (folk though)
I'm sure you have heard this before, but Working Class Hero
Cheap Trick "Reach Out" :D. It seems like it could be taken as a revolutionary song.
"No ones going to give it away. They make it hard for the people today. To get what you want,
youve got to do it yourself... Reach out and take it... Cough up the cash when you go over
and over. Before the old ones gone, youve got a new owner."
World Inferno Frindship Society maybe.
