i am going into college next year for business, then onto university for philosophy and business (double major), and i was wondering how difficult is it to put socialism into practice with business?

other than like heathcare plans, daycares, etc...

i don't think you could technically have a socialist business in a capitalist atmosphere.. but you could provide for your prosepective laborers well, or more so than most businesses.

You could start a cooperative. I think that's about as close to socialism you'll get right now, though. Look up mondragon cafe for an example (I think that's what it's called). They're rather successful.

Silly question, I suppose, but why would you want to major in business?

Intellectually speaking, it's about as challenging as watching paint dry.

Given that you're also interested in philosophy, you're going to be bored out of your skull in business classes.
