I think it is in reference to the "wacking asses".

Which indeed, does sound somewhat weird to say the least. :blink:

If I am thinking of the right rapper, I do vaguely recall this person having some talent, but I really fucking hate them.

I don't think it is offensive, nor do I think Ian does either, but rather it simply sounds strange.

Are they "wacking asses" in actuality, or it is an expression?

Kicking arses sounds better. Wacking arses just sounds dirtay.
