I found an article about that issue but it wasn't as informative as i wanted it to be.Say that I knew most of the things it said.I'd love to learn more about what actually happens when we see someone we like and how we chose our partner.Do our partners look like our parents?

If you know any of the answers to these questions, please post them.Otherwise just send a site link!

Here is what I read:Science of LoVe (http://www.thenakedscientists.com/HTML/Columnists/clairemcloughlincolumn1.htm)

I would agree with the chemical reasoning except for the idea of vasopressin the chemical. I would say there is a reason humans do not have this chemical, all ready people fiercely guard their wife as property, I think vasopressin would make this worse rather than better. It is our ability to love more than one person that brings us out of the blind obedience of love, and is our greatest chance for survival on this planet. We need to love others outside of the family circle.

As for falling in love, yes the chemical does make your stomach uneasy, that is true, but you have to give in to the opening of the heart as well. There needs to be a surrendering to the other person on both sides for it to work. Love, true love comes from trusting someone enough to open up to who we really are underneath. I pray for a day when we can open up about who we are to everyone and our hearts can expand to encompass the whole world rather than a few beings.

Whoa...love junkies....never thought about people getting addicted to that feeling....I often wondered where that feeling went as well, I never knew we built a resistance to it.
