So. We have this project at school, where we're supposed to come up with four recent newspaper articles on a certain international / national conflict and analyse the situation, as well as take sides and criticize it. I'm having a hard time deciding what to do... I wanted to do the Cuban-American conflict, but the teach said that I'd have a hard time coming up with pertinent news articles on this subject.

So, any ideas?

If I'm not mistakent there's been decent increased coverage between the US's disagreement with Chave (Venezuela). I don't think it'd be difficult to come up with articles on Cuba, particularly recently with Bush's new vow to help the people "achieve democracy" if they're willing to fight for themselves. It sounds like a second attempt a Bay of Pigs if you ask me, except this time there would be formal military support. That is, overt and blatant military support, not just some undercover involvement.

Also Peru is interesting. There are several insurgent groups, the one I find most interesting is Shining Path
