He's an ignorant biggot, and a preachy indoctrination agent of the so-called "moral majority". I believe he and his friend once said on the air that homosexuals and single mothers and other sinners were responsible for 9/11, because God hated America for it's sins like Sodom.

Anyone have the details of that thing? It kind of fizzled out but I saw a report on CNN about it.

I think he used to be one of those "send me your money so God will like you" preachers on t.v.. I think his "goal" was to get enough money build a church on top of some mountain.

The thing about mass-media is that these guys can find gullible people all too easily. If they were restricted to, for example just broadcasting to their town how many supporters do you think they could find?

Jerry also poked fun at Buddhist, Hindus, and other faiths...and called them immoral sinners. He is a DANGEROUS hateful individual and must be delt with. REVOLT!

not sure if it was actually Jerry Falwell himself, but IT WAS his Ministry which sent a friend of mine an e-mail telling her to stop practising Buddhism. A "friend" of hers was secretly sending emails to Falwells' Ministery....and my friend finally found out, naturally.

Jerry's Ministery believe that all other world religions are basically "corrupt..immoral..and lead evil into the world". His belief on Buddhism is that it "does not follow the path of Jesus and therefor misleads people and brings them down dark paths" he also said that "Buddhism also has magical and mystical cermonies which are influenced by the devil himself"...he also stated that Buddhism is for the "rich and for the foriegn"..ie/ exclusive to Asians only.
I am also Buddhist and I am outraged at his comments. He claims to know about your faith Borincano, and mine but yet he twists the meaning to suite his own faith. He must be consumed with hatred, greed and pride, and this alone is enough to make someone a danger to himself and others.

Thats bullshit...I'm a christian...or atleast I believe in Christ (I'm no longer follower of organized religion, my beliefs are starting to mix christianity, judaism, and islam)

any way of all other religions I think buddhism is a very wise choice for a religion. It seems to bring peace to all those who follow it.

I don't believe in it but that fat fuck Falwell needs to respect other peoples beliefs

sypher...what is there not to agree on? Jerry Falwell is a problem, and a religion is a personal choice..and not up to anyone to judge if its right or wrong.
