I recently read Cat's Cradle and LOVED it...I then started Slaughter House 5 and am about 35 pages into it (taking a break to read Battle Royale). I really love his witty humour entangled with seriousness...Its also subliminaly political (Cat's Cradle is a lot about American society apparently)...My dad has a bunch of his old books which I'm gonna read after I've finished Battle Royale and Slaughter House 5. Any other fan's out there? And if there are no fans then let me STRONGLY RECOMMEND Cat's Cradle...

I think I read just about everything Vonnegut every wrote when I was in high school. Read Galapagos next dude, then Player Piano, those are great.

Vonnegut is brilliant. He's also a socialist. You should check out Philip K. Dick. He's similar to Vonnegut, but a bit darker.

Kurt Vonnegut is one of my favorite writers. If you liked Cats Cradle I would suggest reading Sirens of Titan or Blue Beard.

I have...a while ago I read The Man In The High Castle (loved it) and I tried reading Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep? (about a year and a third ago) but got too confused with it...I'll try it again at some point...
Anyways yea, I'll check out all your Vinnegut suggestions. :D

I've read "slaughterhouse-5", "Breakfast of Champions", "Slapstick", and "Welcome to the Monkey House".
I liked "Breakfast of Champions" the best, followed by the short stories in "Welcome to the Monkey House", but all the stuff I have read so far, I have enjoyed.

Vonnegut is pretty cool. I don't like the point of Cat's Cradle, which is there is no point to anything, but that didn't stop me from enjoying it. My favorite part was when some lady claimed that she understood perfectly everything about God and whatnot but couldn't understand something as simple as blueprints to a doghouse.
