View Full Version : 'The End'
The Feral Underclass

The killer awoke before dawn, he put his boots on
He took a face from the ancient gallery
And he walked on down the hall
He went into the room where his sister lived, and...then he
Paid a visit to his brother, and then he
He walked on down the hall, and
And he came to a door...and he looked inside
Father, yes son, I want to kill you
Mother...I want to...fuck you
What is with that song? Is he talking about some kind of oedipus complex or what? I mean it's a great fucking song, but what's going on..?

Morry wasn't the sanest of people (look RS200, drug abuse ruined someones life) and I wouldn't take anything to seriously in any of his songs, just revel in the incredible imagery that he somehow manages to conjure up.

Jim was just poetic and taking it serious is to understand his thoughts. It sounds insane but most of his poetry is something that's not always easy to find and answer to, not all at least. There are different thoughts about this. It can be himself his talking about because he never liked his parents, which he says never loved him, not enough at least and made him dislike them. He even changed his last name from Morrison to Morison because of that. Or it can simply be words of a creative mind; just let the thoughts control the writing. Or it's someone else he's mentioning in which he has put himself into, his hate or suffering, his sadness into another character. But those are words of reason. And listening to his words is just what he wanted. The Guy was suffering of depression; you can't say drugs are the cause for all of it. He was an alcoholic as well but there was something more. No one can really tell all about him because no one knew Jim enough to know what was on his mind, not even the closes friend
Greats song, I surely agree
This is the end, My only friend, the end
It hurts to set you free
But you'll never follow me
The end of laughter and soft lies
The end of nights we tried to die
This is the end

I'm really unsure what it's about. There's shitloads of metaphors all over the place.
