No. The fact that you are engaging in capitalism by selling your soul makes you a bourgeois scumfuck.

UTH1984, once again some members of this board confuse commerce with bourgeois scumbaggery.

All socialist and communist societies engaged in normal commerce, the difference being that it was guided by a planned economy management, rather than by open market supply and demand.

Branding, such as you are suggesting, was perfectly common......we all drove Lada's, remember? Trebi's???? Come on, people, those were the good times!!!!!

The resulting wealth gathered was distributed according to the plan.

To avoid being a bourgeouis scumbag, make your venture a not-for-profit. (Hint: pay yourself a huge salary first).

The true bourgeouis scumbags are the people who criticise the workers for taking home a salary (good heavens, how bourgeouis) just because they are still schoolkids and mommy pays the rent and makes their lunch.

In other words: Schoolkids: commies
Mommy: bourgeouis scumbag.

Is it getting any clearer?

Commerce is not equal to capitalism.

As long as there is no owner or bosses.

The bible says it is not money that is the root of evil
but the love of money. Marx talks about commodity fetishism yet Engels was a Factory owner. At the end of the day it is not class position but class attitude.
It is not a moral sin to make money or even employ workers, however it is reactionary to uphold the system of capitalism as virtuous, when it is rotten through and through.

Judging by your taste in music, I'm thinking you'd have a pretty good record label.

As long as you don't do anything immoral to make money, there's no problem with it. We all have to have jobs, because we may not like our societies' economic system but as leftists I hope that we all realize the need to be productive members of the workforce. You should do what will make you happiest and what you think could do the most good by using your individual talents.

uth1984,

No, doing that doesn't make you a bourgeois scumfuck.

What makes you a bourgeois scumfuck is when you use that clothing and record label to control people, abuse your employees, and accumulate vast amounts of wealth without thinking of helping others less fortunate than you. Avoid that, and you won't be a bourgeois scumfuck. :)

Ta very much . Im thinking about doing this because I I love music, but dont have the skills to make it as an artist. Also, I customise my clothes -- eg with spray paint, scissors, etc. I got a mate whos into graphic design and shit, so one day we'll become the first socialist label. But knowing me, Ill never get rounbd to it.
