Take Washington!

It is time we start turning our attention to the inevitable January 20th protests in Washington D.C.

This thread is intended to serve a twofold purpose

1. Serve as a nexus for information related to protests and direct action being waged to bring down this elite festival in honor of imperialism--the presidential inauguration.

2. Provide a forum to discuss our own plans, information, and opinions regarding these acts of resistance and the shape they should take.

Though I won't be able to make it, I hope every protest goes off well. From the peaceful Turn Your Back On Bush to the direct action of the brave anarchists. I hope every protest stops the facsist's figurehead from having a nice day.

I'm not certain as to how much direct action will be going down. From what I've heard police will pretty much lock down the place like at the RNC only with fewer people and arrests and more barricades and searches.

There are going to be protests all over the world that day. I know cause I'm going to one here in San Diego. I'm pretty sure there is going to be one in NY.

I'll be protesting in Seattle and Tacoma but best of luck to everyone else and all of your endeavors.

Arnau- If you don't find something, organize something. A series of small events can be more effective than one or two large ones. Get 10-15 friends and stand on a street corner with anti-bush/anti-capitalist signs.
