We're desperate, get used to it!

The Ripcordz have a song called "The X" posibly related to the club "L'X" where I saw Leftover Crack play in September or October.

Or perhaps "X" as in sXe? True until death?
I drank too much tonight. :(

Progressive rock has nothing at all to do with progressive politics. It's just a type of rock music that differs from the mainstream. Normally it's more complex, more abstract lyrics, often involving orchestra instrumentals, often having similarities to classical music, often having various movements within a song, leading to very long tracks, often involving alternative methods of creating sounds, such as guitar riffs or symbols recordings played backwards, the use of syncopation, varying time signatures, multiple tempos, just some crazy fuckin music. Yes, Pink Floyd, the Moody Blues, and King Crimson are prime examples of progressive rock. The Mars Volta and Mostly Autumn are contemporary prog bands. They're pretty good.
