It's in the middle of the night at this side of the earth, everyone is sleeping right now and I'm making demonstration signs. My feminist friend and I are planning to put up some signs at school tomorrow but I’m kind of lack of slogans. So now I'm asking you to help me if you can come up with some sayings/mottos/ about human rights, liberation or feminism and I would be glad to use them as well. I'm not really a feminist but I support it just as I support communism. Strangely enough I’m a leftist and still I wouldn't call myself a communist even thought if I see it as so called the "perfect" ideology. I'm a radical pacifist who just happens to admire this Che guy here ---> :che:

I think people here could come up with a lot of ideas...but we need to know the particular circumstances of your action -- what country are you in, what are the "hot topics" there, what's really pissing people off, etc.

I'd personally urge you to "sloganize" against the U.S. occupation of Iraq -- do you live in a country that also has troops there?

Your feminist comrade could join in...pointing out that women actually have fewer rights under the U.S. quisling regime than they did under Saddam Hussein.

In other words, just "general slogans" are not much help...what's needed are "slogans" that directly speak to what people are really concerned about.

Hope this helps.

This time the ”hot topic” is about women in Sweden and how we here don’t have the same chance at the working places while men just glide into the their works compare to women. The people who are going to see this are quite young people in there 15-16 and I thought after all of these days of having it backed with a lot of school work and lack of time, this makes you think about how much work you put in do get your grades – 60% of all guys over here don’t give a damn bout their grades while it’s 20 % of the girls. But sill they stand above us as if they where those who read all the books and wrote miles of writing from the most hated schools subject. Unfortunately I don’t think it would be a great idea to bring up anything about Iraq. These people are mostly right-wingers and having not even one eye open to see farther then what the nose reaches, so these kids don’t really care if women in Iraq have it ten times worse then we’ll ever have it. The important thing in their minds is that they what they need (selfish and material people) but unfairness at working places is something that makes every woman wan to stand up no what side of the wing.

what are the "hot topics" there, what's really pissing people off, etc.

The biggest issue right now is Nazism and racism. I hate to say it but to be active in anti-racism is like walking on a field of war without protection or a weapon. There is a line that too big to cross. The town I live in happens to be one of the biggest gathering of racism in Sweden, they’ve been here wince world war two when they joined Germany so that “if Hitler would win” there would be a way to have more power in “Hitler’s Europe” and be more accepted of the germen army (safer as well in a bigger danger). And since Yugoslavia splinted up in the 90’s there’s been more immigration, which increases Nazis hate even higher, without me mentioning how many there are here from the Arab countries. So what’s pissing people off? Since you ask there’s a lot to be said when it comes this country’s propaganda but that would be high taxes on everything and it’s still rising but people complain because they don’t know how the economic system works in other countries (if they did, they would shut up). And because of that Sweden has chosen to be “humane” country, some of the taxes go to people that don’t work, people that have immigrated, don’t know English nor Swedish so they can’t get a job. There are more reasons for why that money goes to those people, like Sweden’s has chosen to not have people living on the streets but someone still has to complain. The reason why this system exist is because the social democrats are always been choose to “have more power” in policy over here.

I cant stand people who complain about tax money being spent on the needy. They are as bad as the richest capitalist.

I cant think up any good slogans, sorry.
