I was talking to a friend in messenger when he told me a rumor he heard in this forum that after Iraq Bush Will Go For Cuba. I think it would definetly spark something like a war due to the fact that cuba is a small country and theres no doubt that Other Communist Counttrys WOuld Come Out And Help Cuba If They Would need It. Well Just Tell Me What U think

Well communism is per se state and classless. The mere fact that they exist as a country and have leaders discounts them as Communist. Socialist would be more appropiate.
China is state-capitalist, they have their classes and is above all very authoritian. They use their authoritian state powers to protect their capitalist class, so how does this divide them from other fascists? Afteral fascism is use of statepowers to protect capital.
Vietnam and Cuba are developping in the same manner, altough less succesfull in this process. Even tough I have to admit that I have my symphaties for Cuba, for an excellent health system and practical extinction of literacy.
North Korea is just disgusting. The capitalist class in the country have been replaced with a new class of coordinators, partybonzes, the family, friends, relatives of Kim Il Jong who really pass by the former capitalist rulers in their cruelness.
The trust and revolutionary efforts of an entire population has been abused by the Kim il Jong dynasty and their party bureacrats. While millions of North-Koreans work their butt off for the "revolution" and dying of simple diseases, starvation.
The partybureacrats run the country ever deeper into misery and surround themselves with great luxeries, stuff themselves with the finest foods and continue to use unshamefully their powers insuch a way that even the European monarchs are jealous.

I dunno how you got the idea that Czechoslovakia is Communist seeing as A: It doesn't exist anymore and B: It's quite blantantly Capitilist, unless a revolution happened under my nose and it wasn't covered on the news.

Jesus Christ, where have you been in the last 15 years?
As Digital Nirvana said, Czechoslovakia doesn't exist, and it has never been a military superpower, nor has been Vietnam. The Soviet Union and the Central and Eastern-European countries are not "socialists" any more. And I don't think Cuba would be worth a world war for any country.

a) Hey, NSB, you might want to correct that - I believe you meant illiteracy.
b) Fourth World War . . . I think the years of brutal global proxy conflicts spanning the globe, and involving the use of weapons of mass destruction, easily constitute a WWIII.
c) The interests of national-elites in both bureacratic and "free-market" countries are ultimately often very similar. I have no doubt that China, etc. will offer little more than rhetoric to any Cuban cause.

Hey,relax anti-imperialism...
I think if US attack another country, the countries of the world will just watch like what it has been doing. But many individuals will strongly oppose the attack and assist Cuba in her defense.

You people need to stop bringing up this third world war shit. It will neve happen because there is no other nation on this planet cpable of fighting a total war against the United States and winning. Note, I said total war not war. That includes China, who would never go to war with the US in the first place for econmoci reasons and vice versa.

America is a cold and cunning construct, not a harsh and impulsive one. Everything done by the United States is carefully and systematically thought out. The United States wouldn't just march into Cuba. Instead, they would continue with their sanctions, and continually apply political pressure on the country until it collapsed on itself, at which point some puppet would be 'elected' by the people (the people being representatives hand-picked by the united states) to serve as the nation's dictat-- er... president.
