I am not going to pick this one up, which is a first for me when it comes to Tupac. I think Eminem's production is a sham compared to what could have been done to the record. It is filled with many a whack chorus sung by Em himself which ruins two good songs, Black Cotton and Solider like me.

That and he manipulates Pac's words to say things that he never said "G Unit in this motherfucker". But my biggest grudge is that he did not make the beats to go around the lyrics and the flow. He did the opposite, made the beat and changed the tempo and speed to the voice to fit the beat. Check out "Crooked nigga too" and Ghetto Gospel Pac's voice sounds terrible.

The last 4 tracks are the highlight of the album.

Afeni is fuckin up big time.

yeah, Em's fucking up 2pac's classics. Kinda sad, him being immortalized, and then his shit being messed up by a dude that never even worked with the guy...

Rita Marley didnt let anyone touch Bob's original stuff...that's why all his albums after his death are still vintage Bob Marley...sorry to say the same's not being done to 2pac. Both were legends in their own right.

Pure exploitation. If everyone involved doesn't donate every last cent that they make from this record, then they are vile hacks out to exploit a dead artist's legacy.

Bob himself let people touch his own stuff when he was alive...
Furthermore, Rita doesn't own the right to a lot of Bob's stuff, and there has been an album released of Bob's stuff featuring modern artists as guests. And there were two dance remixes of Bob's stuff released.

This 2Pac album sounds like a load of crap.

I know there were remixes released later of Bob's stuff with newer artists, but I'm talking about the albums immediately following his death.

Survival, Confrontation, etc. were his original stuff. They were remastered onto today's CDs filled with deluxe editions, b sides, etc...but even if you look at his recordings of the songs, they are extremely similar. Look at his original recording of 'Forever Loving Jah', and what came after.

What a load of rubbish it was leaked weeks ago and i downloaded it. What can i say, eminem destroyed all of tupacs tracks. The originals are much better. Don't buy it.

Terrible.

Just do what I am going to do - Buy an older TuPac cd and show that you won't stand for this.

To exploit a dead man's legacy is outrageous - not only in the case of Tupac, but in the case of the inspiration for this site as well.

Having Eminem on a track was bad enough, but having G-Unit and Obie Trice get fake "Shout-outs" from Tupac is just too far.

Afeni is fucking up big time, and she knmows it, as she said there will be a 2005 CD released with only untouched pre Death Row songs on.

Suge also said he will be releasing another Death Row ear CD, so there will be enough good stuff to keep the legacy alive in the right way.
