I am glad I have finally found my refuge, a place of safety where I can find myself and others like me, where I can refine my philosophy in peace, where i can speak without ignorance or reprisal, where I can find comrades such as myself, where I can express my personal revolution...

I am 14 years old. I am young, inexperienced, I am not rooted in dogma or stable philosophy, but I know that what is now must not be, I believei n radical change, and that reform will not achieve this. But even this, may change, but I keep my faith in revolution. Che was inspiration, when I read his life, saw his life, I did change, that is why I am here today.

I don't consider myself quasi-revolutionary, I must find my calling, because I have not found it. That is what I seek here, I am on a philosophical pilgrimage of sorts. I am seeking my ideology, I suppose.

What about me? I was born to two pronegy of Generation X, my mother, my Muse of revolution, and my father, my guiding force. They were divorced after my younger sister was born. I was born in Amerika, Oklahoma to be exact. My mother and my father, as I was torn between both families, kept me away from the dangerous and harmful ignorance and dogma of the fundamental Chrisitanity and conservatism that plagues my state, and told me the truth in Amerika. They fostered my academic skill, I progressed so far in my classes in public school, they knew I was not fit there. My paternal grandparetns were middle class, my father and my mother lived in poverty, my mom going from one harmful relationship tot he next, my dad unable to keep a job. They took me in, my grandfather works for Boeing as an engineer, a worker and Labour activist, union member. All these influences lead me to my revolutionary lifestyle and ideology. I am living with my grandparents, my mother is finally getting on her feet. I am going to a private school now, an Episcopal (ick) school named Holland Hall on a scholarship and financial aid. I seek to make myself educated, unlike my family. I seek to make a difference. Though I am still unsure how.

My interests lie in music, the Cold War, philosophy, and other scattered subjects. My favorite musician is by far Peter Gabriel, and my lifetime idol has been Che Guevara ever since I have read his story. We coincidentally share the same birthday, June 15. I am not a pseudo-revolutionary, trying to have a petty revolt against small time authority of parents. I have realized that there is more.

I hope to find it.

Welcome. I hope you stay and find your place in your ideology, although it sounds like you're off to a terrific start.

You show so much awareness and intelligence for a 14 year old. Welcome to the forums and I hope you enjoy it.

It's good to see you're pursuing your own beliefs :)

I agree, and I have seen nothing but amazing posts from you so far. I do hope you'll continue in the live chat, I know I saw you in there the other day.

I'm very interested in discussing my ideas with you and hearing yours. Please, if you would, drop me a private message if you'd be interested in discussing some of the ideas I have for my book and quite possibly contributing.

Thank you everyone for your very kind words, I was gone most of the day when I went to my debate competition, and also starting Monday I have finals, so basically a state that can only be explained as "psuedoaggravatedmiserablepsychodementedacademiapho bia" has taken over.

Also, a nod to Gent. What I will really enjoy in these forums is a chance to really make a true refinement of my onw ideology. I am also interested in your book, I am not sure if I would ever have the dedication or perseverence to make one. Though, I am not sure what sort of nonfiction literature I would write.
