Hello,

I'm new to this forum, I was drawn in by searching for some Che Guevera quotes and I saw a link to this forum. I personally really admire Che Guevera, but I"m usually not too much in to politics. But I just recently started to get in to politics, I am reading the book Stupid White Men, and other excuses for the state of our nation, and I was wondering if there were any other books about politics and things that you think I might like? Thank you all for you replys.

PEACE

Hi there, Overdose, welcome to the forum.

Someone who I personally find fantastic is Noam Chomsky. He's a very likeable person to study, but sometimes you might need to take it slow with his books - taking in too much too quickely can get dizzying. He has a number of books out, and they're usually available in normal bookshops. (His publishing house is Verso, link below.)

Three excellent publishing houses with a left-wing leaning:
Verso (http://www.versobooks.com/)
http://www.pathfinderpress.com/]Pathfinder (http://)
WellRed Bookshop (http://wellred.marxist.com/)

Some sources for online books - that cost nothing more to access than your internet connection fee:
Red Encyclopedia (http://www.geocities.com/redencyclopedia)
Anarchist Archives (http://dwardmac.pitzer.edu/Anarchist_Archives/index.html)
Spunk Library (http://www.spunk.org)

Hope that helps.

:)

Thanks for the personal insult, darling, appreciate it. Quite a bit of Anarchist theory is decent. Communist Anarchism is fantastic, frankly. Let him make up his own mind before you start slapping it around for him.

Perhaps Anarchy cannot exist NOW, not in its truest form anyways but as human being develop more and become more "complete" than it could be implemented and would by far be the best system ever. For now, i dont find it applicable.

Angie - Im not to familiar with Communist Anarchism, you know of any books, or sources i could learn more about it? Send me a message.

Or go to the politics section in WaterStones, if your in the UK. Read lots though, not just one type. Get to see a bigger picture then :)

If you like Noam Chomsky you should also look into Michael Parenti. His one most known book is called "against empire".

If you are interested in the struggle of aboriginal peoples in north america (that is if you really are in oregon), you can read some of leonard peltier's stuff.

there's also a book out there called " the struggle to be human". i can't remember the author and i can't find my copy of it right now to tel you who it is but its a good read
