Is it true that if you go to the military you really do get a free college education? If not, can you provide me some valuable sources proving this to be not true?

You're given a sign on bonus which can be used for college education, and if I recall correctly a grant that is offered if you're going to persue an education, plus you can get credits for classes while in the army if you're getting some soft of formal training. Thus those are classes you wouldn't have to pay for.

Nothing in life is free. Whilst there are many benefits of being within the army of any imperialist nation, the price you pay is that of blood.
Enough people have been lost that way: Don't do it!

I think it's like 30,000 or something for College? But knowing that you are in the military, and with the "Stop Loss" program, you're basically fucked because you will never be able to go back home because of the war.
Think about it. They are gambling with your lives when you join the military. Sure they give you a bonus when you get back home, but will you make it back home with a "Stop Loss" program? They are just hoping the soldiers die so they don't have to cough up the money they promised. <_< I'm just pissed off.
