Is there any universial truth? I don't read Castro's thoughts, so I don't know. But I think the best way to get to the truth is to analyze, reading, and being critical. I wouldn't say he was as pure as Guevara was. I would rather have seen him as a leader instead of Castro. He would have been 100 percent true to the people.

After seeing commandante, I would say no. But he supported the USSR even when they were going capitalist.

I think there will always be conflicting reports. I think people have to make up their own minds instead of listening to one-sided news, articles etc.

Guevara would have been more authoratarian.
Personallly, i have admiration for Castro and i understand the difficulties he faces. However, he could hand over more power to the Cuban people.

No, a chara.
We are told Fidel "cracked down" on dissent journalists recently, those were the journalists that had their diatribe rag of a magazine printed at the American interests section in Havana.

Theres a load of books you can buy on the subject of democracy in Cuba and how it is structured, if you want some sites were you can buy such books let me know. I know a few online articles such as Cuban vs American democracy (http://www.newhumanist.com/geiser.html) by Carl Geiser. You can find more documents on practically any pro-Cuban website, including the Irish-Cuban solidarity group.
