LOS ANGELES, November 9, 2004 - At 7:50 PM two armored tanks showed up at an anti-war protest in front of the federal building in Westwood. The tanks circled the block twice, the second time parking themselves in the street and directly in front of the area where most of the protesters were gathered. Enraged, some of the people attempted to block the tanks, but police quickly cleared the street. The people continued to protest the presence of the tanks, but about ten minutes the tanks drove off. It is unclear as to why the tanks were deployed to this location. Uploaded here is video from the event.

Reminds you of the Tiananmen Square protests? Oh yes, I wonder when the Americans will realize that they are the only ones that can assure their own freedom and not depend and hope for someone to assure it for them. With this Patriot Act II coming, I'm thinking of posting both of these stories around the school campus to get some people aware of whats going on.

Boy, those idiots are going to regret voting for Bush.

My question is, how does the media in L.A. show this, or do they even show this event at all?

If they do, do they give negative or positive views of the event?

I don't live in L.A, so I don't know if its the "talk of the town" or not, most (if any) of the major new networks, of course, did not report it at all. I think it would be negative if you had tanks tearing up the street coming towards you.
